About Roy Bato

Roy Bato is the President of News247 Asia, an independent, Asia-focused digital news platform under the IBS Media Group, the media division of IBS Worldwide Corp, a duly registered Philippine corporation. He is a seasoned broadcast journalist, media executive, and communication strategist with nearly three decades of experience in the Philippine media industry. 

Roy has been actively involved in broadcast media since 1996, building a distinguished career across print, radio, television, digital, and multimedia journalism. Over the years, he has operated, managed, and marketed numerous media platforms, including radio and TV stations, enabling him to craft media strategies that blend journalistic integrity with modern digital visibility. 

He is the Founding President of the Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster ng Pilipinas (KBP) CALABARZON Chapter, a regional body of the Philippines’ primary broadcast media association that promotes professional and ethical standards in broadcasting. Under his leadership, the chapter was recognized as one of the top KBP chapters in the country, acknowledged for impactful community initiatives and contributions to media development. 

Roy’s media leadership extends beyond News247 Asia. He serves as CEO of IBS Media, where he oversees a network of traditional and digital outlets, helping shape how news and information are delivered across platforms. He is also the founder of multiple media ventures, including Asul.TV, Central Luzon Balita, Radyo Kalusugan, and Pwersa Balita, pioneering new formats and expanding digital media reach in the Philippines. 

As a media strategist, Roy Bato leads the integration of digital transformation into modern journalism, combining editorial discipline with search intelligence, platform distribution, and AI-ready publishing systems.
